The focus is on dynamically creating cross print and online content for newspapers, magazines, Web sites, and community portals with a single technical system.

censhare is single source publishing and system integration rolled into one

In the censhare media lounge in booth A 540 the Munich-based software forge CoWare AG presents the seamless integration of print and online publishing with its publishing system censhare 3.0. censhare is single source publishing and system integration rolled into one. The publishing system provides publishing houses and corporate publishers with the technological foundation for creating a homogeneous information platform that allows them to create print and online content and distribute it through a wide range of communication channels.

The new features, which have been developed on top of Google Web Toolkit, allow media offerings to be extended with personalized, profiled, and dynamic information. Publishing houses and corporate publishers can integrate user-generated content such as blogs, wikis, photos, video and audio files, as well as the new dynamic forms of publishing based on Ajax - mashups, RSS feeds, and podcasts - to employ completely new ways of customer retention.

In addition to providing media-neutral centralized storage for all data, censhare 3.0 lets its users automatically output any content simultaneously to a wide range of file and media formats. Among the milestones of the current censhare product development are the Web client, based on Google Web Toolkit technology, with its WYSIWYG editor and the Web CMS (content management system), which is publicly presented for the first time on IfraExpo, as well as the censhare XML content editor.

Equipped with a fulltext engine and a hierarchical Web site planning tool based on a Berkeley database, the Web CMS is the tool for creating dynamic Web sites. Any kind of content that is stored in the media asset management (MAM) can be displayed on Web sites. Static content is placed using links. Asset queries for dynamic content can be placed as well. Furthermore, the Web CMS offers its own fulltext search engine for all contents. Another important new feature is the content editor for easily editing content. XML content can be edited with all XML elements being displayed as tags. Another important aid is provided by the links to other assets and to external URLs in the text.
