IT Services Specialist / Engineer

As IT Services Specialist / Engineer you are the expert for administrating our customers and our internal systems. You will resolve issues for our customers, partners, and your colleagues at censhare. When an issue with a censhare system turns up, you work with multiple teams and departments across the company and its international subsidiaries until the issue is resolved.

What you will do

  • Install, configure, operate and maintain censhare systems, including Linux and UNIX (SLES, RHEL, Solaris).

  • Analyze problems and configuration faults and resolve them.

  • Configure and monitor services in order to proactively prevent incidents from occurring.

  • Initiate and track issue-related tickets from start to resolution.

  • Escalate critical problems to R&D and other departments and support these teams in further problem investigation efforts.

  • Analyze and prepare data, such as systems performance, and provide to other departments.

  • Support our operations team in the operation of application servers.

What we expect

  • In-depth knowledge of at least one Unix / Linux operating system (concept, commands, Bash, Scripting).

  • Knowledge in installation and administration of monitoring tools, preferably Icinga / Nagios.

  • Knowledge of networking (Routing, Firewall, IPv4, IPv6).

  • Experience in virtualization.

  • Very good knowledge of English, spoken and written.

  • Analytical thinking and the ability to understand and solve complex problems quickly.

  • Structured and solution-oriented way of working, even under pressure.

  • Knowledge about administration of AWS solutions is a plus.
