Exhibiton for product- and corporate communication

For the second time, censhare was shown on the PROKOM, the trade show for product and corporate communication, which this year was held in the congress centre of Stuttgart’s new ICS trade fair centre Stuttgart on 15 and 16 April. The new PIM module was presented on a trade show for the first time. With the module, censhare combines its unique media asset and variant management features with the capability to flexibly store structured product data in a central product database, process them, and publish them to any Web or print output format.

Not only the trade visitors but the journalists and consultants, as well, were excited by the flexibility and wealth of possibilities that censhare offers for making it easier to create multi-language product and corporate publications.

There is no doubt that the issue of optimising corporate publishing processes with suitable production systems is becoming more and more important and gaining mindshare with the deciders every year. After all, these solutions create very significant cost saving and often clear competitive advantages as well.

A combination trade show and congress like the PROKOM – dedicated to an important sector of corporate publishing and combining numerous topical presentations with the presence of most relevant vendors of these solutions – offers the optimal opportunity for thorough information. Quite astonishing, then, that comparatively few companies took advantage of this chance. Why this should have been so was a puzzle to many exhibitors with whom we spoke. Perhaps it is because product data management and database publishing for many companies, while clearly important, is nothing more than a part of their corporate publishing. There are also brochures, flyers, business reports, manuals, or customer magazines. Nice to know, then, that censhare has been handling these precise corporate publishing tasks for many years.
