Senior IT specialist (m/f)

Your role in our team:

• specialist for installing, operating and maintaining systems and databases on Solaris and Linux platforms in the context of our censhare system
• competent contact point in all IT matters for our project management, sales and presales departments
• voice, representative and connector of censhare towards CTOs, CIOs and IT departments of our customers
• responsible for the development of IT concepts, architectures and solutions for our customers
• a team player capable to work under pressure with great dedication and flexibility also in terms of work hours

The qualifications you bring to our team:

• long-time experience in virtualization technologies, preferably VMWare
• profound knowledge in at least one Unix/Linux operating system (concept, commands, Bash, scripting)
• very good network skills (routing, firewall, IPv4, IPv6)
• experiences in database administration, preferably Oracle. Experience with DataGuard and RMAN are a plus
• know-how in installation and administration of web servers (Jetty, Apache, Tomcat)
• know-how in setup and administration of monitoring tools, preferably Nagios
• an additional plus would be knowledge in OSX, layout software, Perl, agency and publishing workflows
• sense of responsibility, reliability, accuracy and a very self-dependent way of working
• negotiation skills and communicative strengths (in German and English) towards external and internal contacts and good manners
• a conceptual and analytic way of thinking, with an enjoyment in solving complex problems
