All the cups of censhare

cupboard

Many things about censhare are explainable. The success. The spirit. The product. The vision. But one thing will remain a great mystery: our cupboard, and its content.

Of course, there are the white standard cups. But they hardly circulate. Because they are "standard". And who wants to be "standard", after all?

Then, there are the much sought-after cups. Let me call them the "category one" cups. These cups that are the first in the morning to move from the cupboard to the desks. Like the two Sun Java cups. Or Vero's old Apple cup, from the time where the Apple logo was still in rainbow colors, and the word "Apple" was set in ITC Garamond. Always popular is Peter's self made censhare cup - with the old CI - almost surrounded by a nostalgic breeze. And Andreas' private cup, looking black, but showing a picture of his doggy Chicco once it is filled with hot tea.

Java cup

The next category are the "OK cups" - ordinary - neither very exiting, nor very disgusting. Cups with advertising logos from job portals, IT consultants, hardware vendors. Preferably, in neutral colors black or white. Using these cups, you don't attract attention, neither positive nor negative.

Well, and then there are the cups that remain for the poor fellows who sip their first coffee after lunch, when all the category one and two cups are already circulating. These poor guys need to be satisfied with the "kitten cup" (showing a kitsch picture of two baby kittens), the lady beetle cup, the "fading fruit on baroque porcelain" cup, the completely worn out "Pirates of Croatia" cup.

Dog cup

But the biggest mystery of all is the category one cups having lives of their own. A phenomenon that can only happen at night. That no one has ever seen with their own eyes. And that no one feels responsible for: the cups are wandering between kitchens. Or completely vanish for a few weeks, just to re-appear suddenly and unexpectedly.

An example: my Sun PLC (Product Life Cycle) cup. How am I supposed to ever implement and improve our product life cycle process without this cup? But it tends to vanish - and only reappear after some pertinent information from employees. Or: the java cups seem to have a great affinity to the developers' coffee kitchen (hint, hint!) leaving their ground floor "home kitchen". While the Apple cup is making sudden appearances in the project managers' kitchen.

Sun cup

And with that, I close the year with staggered amazement about one of censhare's last mysteries. Should I have a lot of ample time next year, I'm planning to investigate the phenomenon with means of nature science. I have this idea of radioactive markers...

Will be this the end to the independent existence of the censhare cups?

YAHOOOOO - censhare PLC!!!

Incredible - you wouldn't believe what I found on my desk today: a censhare PLC (Product Life Cycle) cup - with my name on it!

Now I don't need by old Sun cup any more, and can still work on our PLC process. Turns out 2 very nice colleagues from censhare support produced this cup for me - Thank you Philipp and Hauke!!! :-)

Love this!

But can it be applied to an existing cup ??? ;-)

From my Cupboard to yours

Dear Vero,

Thank you for sharing this story - during my last trip to Munich I was part of a "find and seek" mission to help a co-worker recover their favorite cup. I remember wondering what was the special story that made this cup important enough to command a search team. Now I realize they all have special stories!

My search, my story :-)

Hi Michele,

I guess you might have witnessed one of my famous cup searches, hence I'm the author, not Vero. But of course, Vero has her special cups, too :-)

Wer braucht schon Tassen?
